Artist's Description

Camera lenses should have a warning label which says "Things in your lens may be closer than you think". Taking a photo of this bull bison grazing on the side of this hill with my long lens, I followed his movements while adjusting the focal length. I was to busy concentrating on trying to keep the head in focus, I wasn't attention to my focal length. When my lens reached the minimum setting. I lowered the camera and realized this 3000+ pound animal was only10 feet away from me!

About John Kain

John Kain

Been a photographer for more than 50 years. As an Architectural Engineer I love architecture and things mechanical. I am also an avid gardener and flowers are another passion in my photography. As a frustrated artist, I have dabbled in pencil, and charcoal sketches, oil and watercolor paintings, but I settled on photography and digital art to expression my artistic passion. I still dabble of course but I spend more time in Photoshop than at my easel. I hope you enjoy my work.
