Artist's Description

The USS Battleship Texas is currently anchored in Houston Texas, The historic battleship is docked near the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site in La Porte. But it won't be there for too much longer. The Texas needs major repairs, so sometime next year, the ship's caretakers plan to have it hauled out of its current resting place and into a shipyard in Galveston, After restoration, the Texas will be moved to a new birth, location unknown until sometime in 2022

About John Kain

John Kain

Been a photographer for more than 50 years. As an Architectural Engineer I love architecture and things mechanical. I am also an avid gardener and flowers are another passion in my photography. As a frustrated artist, I have dabbled in pencil, and charcoal sketches, oil and watercolor paintings, but I settled on photography and digital art to expression my artistic passion. I still dabble of course but I spend more time in Photoshop than at my easel. I hope you enjoy my work.
